Nestled in the mountains of the Massif Central in Southern France, Les Tapies is a picturesque 17th century hamlet which has been carefully restored to retain its original character and serves as an ideal base for a creative arts program.
The three week program is deisgned for mature students aged 14-19 who have strong interest in the arts, design and/or architecture. Students enroll in one major course, either Architecture, Drawing and Painting or Photography. They also choose an elective in an area of interest.
The ideal location of Les Tapies just north of Provence provides extensive opportunities to draw on the cultural riches of such historic cities of Avignon, Nimes, Arles and Aix-en-Provence. During frequent excursions, students explore such nearby medieval villages as Beauchastel, St. Montan and St. Pierreville, which are also ideal subjects for painting, drawing and photography.
