Summer Day Camp
A summer program of fun and learning for children ages 5 -9
July 2 - 6
The TASIS England Summer Camp involves children in learning activities that are both fun and stimulating, and encourages development in many areas during the long summer holidays.
The program takes place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and makes full use of the facilities of the TASIS England campus, and the camp is run by experienced teachers and qualified staff from the TASIS England Summer School. We also welcome international children who wish to improve their English skills in a relaxed environment.
Each week the focus is on a particular topic or theme, such as castles, boats, jungle animals, or cities. Language arts and math, as well as art, music, and other specialist activities are integrated within each theme. There are weekly excursions to a site of particular relevance to the current topic.
Mid-morning and afternoon snacks are served, and lunch is provided in the TASIS dining room.
An important part of the program is the weekly excursion. Typical trips may include childrens' theatre productions, museums, local nature reserves and zoos, leisure centers, historic sites and a boat trip on the Thames. These excursions draw on the extensive recreational and cultural resources in the area and are coordinated with the weekly themes. Parents who are interested in chaperoning excursions are encouraged to volunteer.
