Faculty & Students
Faculty teaching in the TASIS England Summer Programs are experienced professional educators. In the English Language program, all teachers hold recognized British or American teaching qualifications. In the Academic and Enrichment programs, teachers are carefully chosen for the quality of their degrees and their relevant experience in American and international schools and for their energy and enthusiasm for interacting with young people in all aspects of the Programs, both academic and extracurricular.
While providing high quality academic standards for students, TASIS faculty are also coaches, dormitory residents, and chaperones. The success of our Programs rests on the dedication and enthusiasm of our teachers and counselors. A list of teachers is available on request.
The TASIS England Summer Programs attract students representing over 40 nationalities, thereby creating an international community and exposing students to a variety of cultures, languages, and backgrounds. However, the Programs remain small by design to create an intimate and warm family atmosphere in which every student can contribute to the overall community.
A 1:7 faculty-student ratio and an average class size of 12-14 students allow for personalized instruction and individual attention for each student. The close interaction of staff and students in and out of the classroom greatly enriches the academic experience and makes for both a productive and enjoyable summer.
