Students: 40 from 15 countries Student-Staff ratio 4:1 Learn a Language Located in a beautiful alpine setting, the Middle School Progam at Château-d’Oex is offered to students aged 11-13 to learn English or Frenchin a structured boarding learning environment.
Students have many opportunities throughout the day to practice the skills they learn in class as they meet new friends, develop their independence, and explore Switzerland.
Based in a lovely chalet in the picture-postcard mountain region of the French-speaking part of Switzerland, the program exposes students to the beauty of our surroundings and takes advantage of the stunning settings for sports and cultural activities. For many of the students this will be their first experience away from home. Trained staff members are always present to help students adjust to their new environment and to encourage them to find common bonds with fellow students. To assist with language learning, no two students with the same mother tongue are roomed together.
