2010-11 TPA Events 

TASIS England sponsors numerous events and activities.  The eleven events below are funded by the TPA and planned and staffed by volunteers from the community of TASIS parents, teachers and students.

NEW FAMILY PICNIC

This annual event held before the start of school enables new families to connect with their buddy families and learn about community groups and resources.  New students have a chance to meet their classmates while they enjoy the giant slide, bouncy castle, and other games.
 

REGISTRATION DAY SALES AND SIGNUPS

Registration Day is the day before classes begin when parents register their students at TASIS England, take placement tests and receive an orientation.  All families can go to the small gym to buy Parent calendars, supplies, uniforms, gym clothing, and TASIS England merchandise and spiritware; learn about social activities and arts programs; sign up for intramurals; meet with bussing, reception, travel, fitness centre and nurse representatives.

NEIGHBORHOOD PUB LUNCHES

Held before school starts and throughout the school year, these popular lunches are a great way to meet other TASIS England parents who live near you.

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

This very popular event feature foods of the world to sample; music and dancing; international crafts; native costumes; and displays showcasing the diverse cultures that make up the TASIS England community. 

DIVISIONAL COFFEES: October and March

These coffees provide a great opportunity to raise issues with the headmaster and the head of each division (school) in an interactive question and answer session. 

TRUNK OR TREAT

Join TPA in the TASIS North parking lot for some American Halloween fun, as children in the lower grades go trick-or treating from decorated car to car.  This is one of our most popular events of the year!   

 HOLIDAY GREENS & FETE DE NOEL

Our annual greens sales and holiday shopping boutique are an easy way to buy wreaths and poinsettias, shop for handcrafted gift items sold by local vendors, and entertain your children with activities while you shop.  

TASIS ENDURO

Can you cycle or exercise for 8 hours?  Challenge yourself and do something good for your health while raising money at this exciting Fitness Centre event.

SPAGHETTI DINNER

This is the perfect beginning to a great evening of food and fun.  Bring the whole family and enjoy a wonderful spaghetti dinner before heading off to the Fleming Theatre for the annual TASIS Revue variety show. 

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

Parent volunteers help to give our wonderful TASIS teachers special treats and gestures of thanks, including a Teachers' Luncheon and a Staff Appreciation Brunch.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING/SOCIAL EVENT                            

Past events have included the "Enchanted Evening"  Gala, Medieval Dinner Theatre, "Carnaval" Dinner Dance, and Southwest night.
