ShakespeareXperience
1st session only (13-18)
This course offers students from all over the world who are
interested in acting, theatre, and literature a unique opportunity to
learn a Shakespeare play and perform it publicly.

Through intensive study, individual and group training, and travel
to London and Stratford-upon-Avon to attend performances of
Shakespeare's plays, students will discover the meaning of
Shakespeare's words and poetry; the background to Elizabethan history
and theatre; theatre culture and etiquette; modern and traditional
theatrical techniques; movement, voice, and acting skills; and most
importantly, their own part in the play. Students who decide they do
not wish to act in the public performances will contribute to other
aspects of the final production.
This opportunity to work hard with other young people from all over
the world, with the goal of presenting a Shakespeare play, is open to any student between the
ages of 13-18. No previous acting experience or knowledge of
Shakespeare is necessary - just a willingness to try one's best,
cooperate with others, and commit to this intensive educational and
theatrical experience.
